WAAR in Dubai : A Review

December 14, 2013

WAAR review

A salam o alykum ,

I just watched “the most anticipated” Pakistani Movie WAAR on Thursday 12th Dec 2013 in Dubai.
So, thought to share my view/review with you guys.

Note : It can be a spoiler as well

Things I liked:

Technical Stuff

1 – Excellent cinematography
2 – Good Quality special effects
3 – Sound(Audio) and overall video quality was outstanding

Non-Technical Stuff

1 – A Truly Patriotic Movie, throughout the movie you would feel that its been written/directed/produced/starred by those people who have put their heart(apart from their financial interests) in this marvelous creation, one can easily feel the “pakistaniat” in dialogues and in story. Its a moral booster for not only security officials but for all the people of Pakistan , an inspirational plot . It shows the sacrifices of security officials in War on Terror , How our security/intelligence agencies are fighting multi-dimensional threat , a threat not only from internal misguided criminals ( Talibans ) but also from foreign intelligence agencies ( RAW , MOSSAD , CIA , RAM , MI6 etc ) , inspite of having low resources ( financial , tactical weapons , technology ) our forces are still giving hard time to all these anti-pakistan forces.

2 – Suspicious role of foreign funded NGOs ad social workers ( cum agents ) have been exposed. Its a common concern in Pakistan that foreign intruder forces/countries misuse NGOs and social workers to achieve their targets, a very high profile example is of Shakeel Afridi who acted as a social worker under an umbrella of FAKE NGO ( polio vaccination ) but actually he was working for CIA, helping them to achieve their targets in Pakistan. Other examples include Ghazala Minallah ( a social worker who published a fake flogging video to pressurize govt. and masses to start a military operation in Swat Valley ) . Social Workers have been backed up by “Pakistani Liberals” ( a rare specie among liberals who check the religion of victim before condemning his/her murder e.g; Church attack is a fascist act but drones are adorable peace making devices ) and such social workers ( or so called civil society ) gets the sympathy of media to camouflage their treason acts.

3 – Rise of Honest , Patriotic Political Leadership in Pakistan . In Movie WAAR Ali Azmat is playing a role of “Ijaz Khan” ( which i personally thinks portrays Imran Khan ), Ijaz Khan is a true patriotic Pakistani politician who is trying to hard to bring Pakistani Nation on a single united platform for national causes. He has been involved in extra-marital affairs but soon he realized that his role as National Politician is far more important and holy thus should refrain from “play boy acts” . In movie its been shown that how local politicians cashes public emotions to gain popularity, they do not want to take risk of making one faction of their voters angry and avoid doing such stuff which is for benefit of whole population ( e.g; building Kala Bagh Dam )

4 – Misguided Religious Youth ( Pakistani Talibans ) . WAAR shows that lot of youngsters in tribal region join hands of foreign intelligence agencies due to various different reasons , these reasons may be financial or to gain authority ( which actually tribal people loves). Its also been showed in movie that a lot of local pakistani people residing in main cities like islamabad / lahore/ karachi and are facing financial issues actually rendering their services to enemy agencies.

Things I didn’t like ( or need improvement ):

1 – Language : The movie is neither 100% urdu nor 100% english which LIMITS the target audience to only “educated english speaking pakistanis”.
Yes, thats strange , only english speaking Pakistanis will truly enjoy this movie. Since its not completely in English so therefore in International Cinemas ( like in Dubai ) they cannot put it in English language movies ( they have written WAAR as urdu language movie ) so WAAR cannot attract international audience . Like i cannot ask my US/UK/South African/Malysian friends to come and watch this movie as 30% of movie is in Urdu. Similarly since 70% of movie is in English , it will be very hard for uneducated pakistanis who does not know english to actually understand it properly. There is a huge population of Pakistani Pashtoons in Dubai but i’m very sure that apart from special effects ( bomb blasting , firing ) they wont enjoy much since they would not be able to understand it. So this is a BIG BLUNDER from my point of view. The film think tank or producer has limited the target audience to a very small faction . Pakistani people from villages or old age people who usually does not speak english that well will not be able to truly enjoy this movie.

2 – Weak One Dimensional Story : though the concept is good but i felt that there was no proper storyline OR at least very small story which was over stretched in only one dimension , by one dimension i meant that usually in a movie there is one major story and other small stories ( of other characters ) related to main story story but in WAAR , the main story revolves around SHAAN, an ex-security official who lost his family in a terrorist attack but it has no other supporting story , Hamza Abbasi – Ayesha Khan though belong to a same family in story but hardly any clue about their story , similarly meesha shafi story ( related to social worker ) is very limited.

3 – Picturization : It was too much of in-house picturization , not much outdoor or landscape picturization . They should have shown taliban hideouts in Northern Areas in Day time instead they only showed it in night and only one ror two rooms which exposes that picturization was not done outdoor but used a piturization set.

4 – Too much use of neck breaking  , in WAAR the director seems to be a big fan of neck breaking and almost every 2nd killing is through neck 180 degree switch , Also too much blood , use of dagger or even bullets shows too much blood.

GOOFS:

1 – Ali Azmat ( Ijaz khan Politician ) was stabbed by murderer when ali was wearing bathrobe but there was no clue of blood ( though ali azmat got fainted and fell to floor ) , blood appeared in next scene when he reached back to his bedroom.

2 – Ayesha Khan and Hamza Abbasi were at home ( brother sister ) when their boss asked them to come and join an urgent meeting, both had no clue why this meeting has been called urgently but when they joined meeting , actually Ayesha Khan was giving briefing to attendees about major terrorist attack ( we all know if someone is asked to brief very important audience than he/she should know that i am going to present or brief in this meeting ) whereas ayesha khan went into meeting without any prior knowledge and its actually not possible for her to brief everyone without even knowing what to brief.

3 – This goof is present on imdb but i noted as well, When attack was going on at Police Academy , it was day time but at the same time meesha shafi and shamoon abbasi were celebrating that incident but it was night time , though they were in same city.

4 – Usually an agent is killed/eliminated by own agency only when his cover is exposed, but in this movie WAAR meesha shafi ( A RAW agent ) has been eliminated by RAW for just a single failure ( its not reality ), an agent who has years of experience and great success rate cannot be just eliminated specially when his/her cover is still ON.

5 – Shamoon Abbasi was preparing a bomb in a Taliban hideout when a Taliban came to inform him that his vehicle is ready. Shamoon got pissed of due to this disturbance and he killed the Taliban Ally by asking him to sit on his seat and than he injected him with poison. Soon Shamoon Abbasi left for his vehicle , Than SHAAN entered the room to engage shamoon abbasi but no one was present in room and it was empty , in actual the dead body of Taliban should have been resting on Shamoon Chair.

6 – The suicide bomber women was showing her jacket to all policemen in their academy mess but no one tried to capture her.

7 – Suicide bomber women was disguised as pregnant women but she started her drama even before reaching the spot / target . She was in car with her allies and she was crying due to birth pains  ( why she was crying fake when she was among her allies , illogical )

Conclusion:

Well such goofs are always a part of any movie ( hollywood/bollywood ) so i’m not very concerned about these small things.

WAAR is truly outstanding Marvelous movie , I have never seen such a professionally created Pakistani movie , i seriously think that WAAR can start a new era of film making in Pakistan. I am a big fan of hollywood movies and i honestly think that WAAR is a masterpiece to which we can compare to any international cinema movie.

WAAR is a kind of movie that we Pakistani can feel proud of. Its full of patriotism rhetoric which sometimes a nation needs in war times ( we need it badly ) .

After watching movie in Ibn-e-Battuta Grand Cinema i went to Global Village Dubai to see cast of WAAR , ( though the stars arrived 3 hours late and Ali Azmat was very rude  ) but what i saw in global village was very heart touching and inspiring , people were feeling proud on this movie . Energetic crowd was on their feet when they ran the trailor in front of multi-national audience , sky rocketing slogans of Pakistan Zindabad were raised and all people were really excited .

I definitely recommend all of you ( residing in UAE ) to come and watch this movie. its 18+ ( due to bloodshed ) but still very good to watch with your family. A MUST WATCH from my side.

As far as rating is concerned from my side : i would give it 8/10 from Pakistani cinema perspective and 6.5/10 from international cinema perspective.

Well-done Hasan rana , Bilal Lashari , Shaan Shahid , Shamoon and all team

PTI Won in Karachi : My Story of Elections 2013

May 26, 2013

A Salam o Alykum ,

I have been thinking of writing my observations during the elections 2013 but was so disheartened by the results ( just like many of you ) that I even stopped reading newspaper , browsing political websites , watching political tv shows etc ( I think I haven’t yet watched any tv show after 12th May ) , actually didn’t want to see the criminal faces of old hyenas rejoicing over their “snatched” victory.

Just a little background of me and my family previous political affiliation , hope I will not bore you.

I used to be a diehard supporter of MQM due to ethnic and family association , later joined Jamat-e-Islami student wing “Jamiat” and then realized the only true “ideological” party is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf , so joined it and rendered my services from every aspect to party.

Since I’m currently based out in Dubai so flown back to Pakistan to cast my vote on 8th May. On 10th  May my grand-mother died, we offered her funeral in ISHA Prayer and next day early in the morning at 8 O’clock , without even taking our breakfast me and my whole family was standing in queue on a polling station to cast our vote , in favour of PTI , in favour of Imran Khan. Relatives who were living in our home due to funeral went back to their home , just to cast their vote , my two aunties who flown from quetta due to funeral , the second thing which they were discussing after the demise of their mother was “regret of not being able to cast their vote for PTI”.

Here as I mentioned that my whole URDU SPEAKING family was “fanatic supporter” of MQM in past , my mom is a novelist ; she used to write ideological write-ups for movement , my father gone through some unfortunate incidents during security forces operations in Karachi because of MQM affiliations. We build our house in 1978 ( the same year when APMSO – All Pakistan Muhajir Student Organization  was formed ) my uncle who was student at that time scratched a wall of house with writing “ Long Live APMSO” , and while we were renovating our house in 1999 , we demolished our whole house except that one wall which was a symbol of our affiliation with MQM.In short , this is the STORY OF CHANGE of a family who used to be literally mad about MQM , who were not only part of “Pakistan Movement” but also “Muhajir Qaumi Movement” but then joined “Movement for Justice (PTI)”

Anyway , in this blog I will be talking about my observations on election campaign , election day , election results , factors affected results , lessons which we should learn and in the end how to move forward.

My most of observations will revolve around electioneering in Karachi so I’m sorry if I do not talk much about elections in rest of Pakistan in detail.

Journey Started – Election Campaign – Participation from Abroad:

As most of the participants here are living abroad , so its not a difficult thing to understand that almost 80-90% of politically aware Pakistanis were in favour of PTI , they were extremely excited about the elections , the way the Imran khan was running election campaign it was so moral boosting for all of us. Sticking to political websites and watching 4-5 hours of tv shows on daily basis was a normal routine for these Pakistanis , reading and sharing social media posts , discussing Imran khan in their foreign company offices , raising funds among Pakistani communities , we were SO CONFIDENT , we were so PAKISTANI . Pakistani students/youth living abroad were more interested in listening national/pti songs than as compare to Bollywood songs , “kaptaan” 2 min trailer was more interesting for us than any other Hollywood blockbuster .

I have seen Pakistanis listening PTI songs “ inshALLAH Naya Pakistan” in buses , gym , restaurants . First time I have seen Pakistanis living abroad were acting like ONE NATION. Unanimously , Yes Unanimously we were in favour of PTI and Imran Khan , no one was Punjabi , Pathan , Sindhi , Urdu Speaking , we were ONE NATION. During the normal gatherings Pakistanis were talking about of how to reach Pakistan and cast their vote , can they get holidays from their companies , can they get PTI t-shirts , how can they raise more funds for PTI , how about arranging a MOV ( Multimedia outreach van ) for elections , how to convince more friends in Pakistan to cast their vote for PTI , everyone was so excited.

They Day I was flying back to Pakistan from Dubai.I took a cab , as you know most of taxi drivers in UAE are our pathan brothers , so when I got in taxi , he figured out quickly that I’m Pakistani and only six sentences were exchanged between both of us.

Driver: Saab , Pakistan se hen?

Me: Ji han

Driver: Saab , Elections me vote dalne ja rahe hen?

Me: Han

Driver: Saab dua kren ke Pakistan CHANGE ho jaye ……….. hum majboor ae …nahi ja sakta …werna zaroor jata ….vote dalne……… inshALLAH saab is bar bht ummeed he hum sab ko.

Me: inshALLAH , ALAH krey hamara watan aisa ban jaye ke hamey yahan aane ki zaroorat na rahe.

pti pak

The day before when Imran khan fell down from lift , I was in a shopping centre when I saw this sms from my brother in Pakistan , and I was like stand still , couldn’t move an inch , didn’t know what to do , In SMS my brother wrote , “ IK fell down from lift , pray for him” and my tears were flowing like something happened to my family member. I didn’t want to visit geo or jang website or open my facebook account to check what’s latest news about IK , I was afraid of reading the news of losing of my leader but later my brother again sent a message that he is fine so I was a bit relaxed.

By the way , as I reached on airport and came to my waiting lounge , almost all the Pakistani passengers were talking about Imran Khan , about his health and of course in favour of him.

Elections Campaign in Karachi – 8th/ 9th May:

It was quite , everywhere.

Not much transportation as MQM were giving regular calls of strikes due to attacks on their party workers. MQM workers were visiting homes to collect NIC from people ( for bogus voting ),People were making excuses , they did not gave their NIC .Here important point to note is that MQM workers does not go to Pathan/Punjabi/Sindhi/Balochi dominated areas of Karachi due to resistance issue , usually most of indigenous pakistanis keep weapons in their homes so MQM workers always play safe , they only subjugate urdu speaking community ,but IT WAS URDU SPEAKING COMMUNITY of Karachi who was resisting this time.

Since MQM could never think that COWARD urdu speakers can ever vote against them so they did not bothered too much about NIC collection.

Before proceeding further , I would like to tell you about how MQM have street level intelligence system in Karachi which can show you the amount of terror MQM put on people of Karachi. This will also help you understand the nature of “revolution” that occurred on streets of Karachi on 11th May.

mqm

So this is a layout of every street of Karachi which has any entrance towards main road and MQM feel that this entry can facilitate their rival/enemies to get into their strongholds and capture the locality from them , yes  you thinking right , this looks like a map of civil war facing city.

Now let me explain the points in diagram:

1-Barriers:

MQM installed them in the name of saving karachiites from street crimes , but actually these Barriers have two purpose , one purpose I have already explained in above paragraph ( to safeguard MQM strongholds from rival militant wings capturing them ) and second to “slow down” any possible police/rangers action against them. With barriers having keys with MQM persons , Rangers and Police forces cannot enter a locality with their vehicles easily , and that would give enough time to MQM militants to escape or hide .

2-MQM Daily Wagers:

MQM Daily wagers are young boys , usually teenagers who work for 100 PKR daily with free mobile cards , they usually sit near barriers and in continuous communication with their other street fellows on mobile , they continuously talk to other street members…yes continuous …….they also have pistols to avoid any circumstances. They keep an eye on mysterious people who might be workers/agents of their rival parties like ANP and MQM-H or Sunni Tehreek that can think of infiltrating into their borders  , they also keep an eye on possible agents of security forces like police and rangers intelligence people.

Their another mandate is to see within their boundaries for any suspicious activity , do they see any boy from street houses going to Jamat-e-Islami convention ? do they see any street resident working for other party like PTI ? Do they see anyone openly talking against MQM or Altaf Hussain in streets ? If yes than their first task is to inform respective “unit incharge” , the unit incharge will check the severity of threat and if they find it very threatening act towards MQM or altaf hussain , they will first try to warn that boy/family by street crimes activity ( daaka , mobile snatching etc ) if that guys is turning very threatening and continuously attending meetings of other parties than they will put him in their “target list” and on “proper time” they will kill him ( another target killing in city by unknown people ).

So this is the CURRENT GROUND REALITY of Karachi , street level intelligence by MQM , now you can imagine that it was almost impossible for karachiites to run a proper campaign for Imran Khan or host any corner meetings in their streets. This was the reason that there was almost no election campaign by PTI in Karachi except one or two posh areas where MQM cannot install those intelligence wings on street to street basis (e.g; DHA )

Now as soon as I got back to my home , I started talking to my friends , family , neighbours , locality friends , relatives and it was amazing response , EVERYONE was talking that he/she will DEFINITELY cast his/her vote and that will be in favour of Imran khan.

Below here was my facebook status as my first reaction after reaching Karachi from dubai , On 8th May

“Since my visit in pakistan , i can sense the “tabdeeli” , everyone is saying that IK will win this time inshALLAH , in KHI apart from MQM threats people are willing to vote , all families are supporting PTI , but for me again the very important thing is WILL THEY COME OUT ON ELECTION DAY , Analysts are right , if turn out exceeds 55% its Imran Khan all the way , 100% no doubt whatsoever”

By the way I forgot to mention that there is a school beside my house and it was declared as polling station. So when I was standing outside my home before election day , I saw lot of people coming to us an asking if this is the same school for polling station and we said, YES this is the polling station for tomorrow. We saw some cautious faces , seems like searching for something , they came near school (polling station) , read the notice that this is polling station and very quietly they left.

There was unseen unity among karachiites , in fact a hidden unity , WE could sense it , MQM was unable to ……… we were lining ourselves for voting day , exchanging sms , encouraging each other. We were ready , Karachi was Ready for Big Day.

The Election Day 11th May:

I was very busy on a night before elections day due to funeral of my grandma , was very tired so sleeping unconsciously , my younger brother had his engineering final year exam next day so he got up early at around 6 am for studying but soon he started doing some Khat-patt so I woke up to see what he is doing , he was arranging decoration chairs and drinking water tank ( which we brought for family guests due to funeral ) in street , I asked him what are you doing and he said, “there might be lot of people on neighbour polling station so I’m arranging these chairs for older people , also I have asked decoration guy not to remove Shamiana as it can be very hot day” , I was very happy with his attitude and concerns for election.

We went inside as still there was couple of hours in start of polling. As our family votes were not in same neghboring station so we both planned to reach our polling station as early as possible to avoid any possible political clashes between political parties. Anyway , I went to sleep again , I woke up due to some noise , quickly I got up from bed and went outside house , and there I saw a HIUGE LINE of my locality people who I CAN NEVER imagine in my life that they will vote for anyone or will come out on election day , my brother was very excited and he cheered to me , “you see I was right , you can see the line , its huge and it’s still 30 minutes befor start of polling, we will win , MQM will be finished today”

There was only one polling camp nearby and it was of course of MQM. MQM workers were very busy in preparing polling cards for voters so that it can speed up the polling process. Some of the dumb MQM polling agents were very happy as they were thinking that of course everyone is casting their vote in favour MQM , they could never imagine what was going inside polling station. But I saw few experienced MQM workers , they were a little confused as they were not expecting such BIG TURN OUT and they were smelling something bad from it.

Anyway , me and my brother with other family members went to our polling station quickly , Again the same situation , we saw 4-5 polling stations in between , there was a huge line of people on all polling stations. People were quite , nobody was talking to anyone in huge lines where sun was scorching on our heads , sweating in huge lines but nobody was in panic , very calm , very quite karachiites were waiting for their turn. Everyone was exchanging words in eyes but no verbal words . We all knew that all of us are voting for someone NEW.

I saw lawyers (advocates) , engineers , doctors , daily wages workers in same line , standing like children in their assembly. I saw urdu speakers , Punjabi , pathans , balochs , sindhi all waiting for casting their votes.

Nobody knew the names of PTI candidates for national or provincial assembly , all they know is to STAMP on bat. This is Karachi attitude , pure 100% Karachi attitude , we never care for individual electables , never voted to them , sometime we do not even know who is MNA or MPA from our constituency , what we all know is which PARTY has won from our constituency , it was MQM for last 20 years , before that it was Jamat-e-Islami and People’s Party.

I went inside polling station and saw there was NO polling agent from PTI , there was only JI and MQM polling agents inside and that was the first time I thought PTI has done BIGGEST mistake , there was no watchdog. We karachiites do not need election campaign , we never required polling camps , we didn’t bother for vehicles that could take us to polling stations what ALL we require was WHO WILL SAFEGUARD MY VOTE INSIDE POLLING STATION. We fulfilled our promise to Imran Khan of coming out of homes and voting for him , but what would happen if there will be no one inside polling station to protect my vote.

As I belong to a politically aware family so I knew how important is to have polling agents inside a polling station, anyway I was very disappointed to see absence of PTI polling agents , By the way this was the first time I came to know who was the candidate from my constituency , I would have never bothered to know about his name but it was written on ballot paper.

Anyway , we came back to our home where neighbouring polling station was jam packed. All the day we saw people coming in flocks , coming out of their homes , it was like people from EACH AND EVERY house of our muhalla has come out to vote , I could see the aged people , young people , women , girls , students……… EVERYONE was OUT…. MQM workers were busy in nearby polling camp but now they were start FEELING that something is going bad.

Let me share my facebook status of 11:00 am election day.

“Me and My whole family cast our vote (6 votes) , inshALLAH!!!!!!!! ….btw Unprecedented Turn Out , Amazing , Lot of polling stations everywhere , you can find a polling station in each Muhalla due to which all familes are coming out and voting….. if this is the same situation in Punjab and rural areas , m damn sure it would a PTI day inshALLAH inshALLAH inshALLAH”

“In my neighbour house(polling station) , so far (11 am) almost 40% votes have been casted , seems like in cities turn would be above 70-80% easily”

“and you can easily see NEW voters , families , educated young bachian 😉 , mummy daddy boys , sab voting today”

Important point to note from this status ( which is a true fact ) that in 2-3 hours of initial voting almost 40-50% of all votes were being cast , people were aware that if they did not go early than there might any bad incident and they might not get chance to vote so they all came very early and quickly cast their votes. I saw one of my friend’s family who again were very loyal to MQM initially , they went inside polling station , my friend came out and told me that MQM workers have now taken over the polling station and they are giving 4-5 ballot papers to a single voter and asking them to vote for MQM , since these MQM workers could not even think of disloyalty from urdu speaking community so they were not bothering to keep an eye on which party they are stamping , but as my friend said , “they gave my 3 family members 15 ballot papers and we stamped for BAT on all of them 😀” that was the people’s reaction on 11th May, Karachiites reaction which has caused an immense recent panic in MQM.

Reasons Why MQM so easily hijacked all polling stations:

By the way I would like to highlight the reason why MQM hijacked ALL polling stations:

1 – There was no polling agent of PTI inside polling stations, Jamat-e-Islami made the biggest mistake of boycotting elections in Karachi , Only Jamat-e-Islami could keep an eye on MQM workers inside polling stations , due to dedicated workers JI had presence in almost every polling station in Karachi but as soon JI Karachi announced boycott of elections , JI workers went back from polling stations leaving no one inside apart from MQM workers.

2 – Police and Rangers were not present INSIDE polling stations , MQM workers were openly showing their weapons , they literally hijacked all the polling stations , made all the staff as hostage and then they were controlling the polling , but as I mentioned , they were not keeping an eye on stamping as they were quite confident that these COWARD urdu speakers can never think of going against them.

Voting Turnout in Karachi:

I am very sure that in Karachi , turnout was almost 75-80% , no doubt , absolutely no doubt.

Voting Finished / Counting Starts:

By 5:00 pm , as we could see all the people coming to our neighbouring polling station , we knew that almost 90% votes from our constituency have been cast. This polling station had around 900 registered voters and it was obvious that 700-800 people have casted their votes.

Votes are counted in close rooms but as MQM workers was very confident so they did not close any gates of polling stations and they were counting openly. Almost 30-40 MQM workers were standing in front of polling stations waiting for announcement of victory and celebrations. But soon something strange started happening.

Suddenly some MQM workers came from inside polling stations , extremely nervous , they gave few instructions to their fellow workers outside. Now Police and Rangers was asked to leave polling station as they entered in after closure of polling.

Since we know our neighbours quite well , so when the counting started I asked my neighbour fellow boy to see whose winning and let us know. He went inside the room , I received the sms from neighbour boy that “miracle has happened , we have counted 700 votes so far , 450 votes for PTI , around 50-100 votes for MQM , 10-20 votes for each other parties and independents ; counting is about to finished

That’s where MQM workers became mad / crazy / worried , they asked polling staff to throw 2/3rd of PTI votes to trash , start stamping on MQM and make sure that there is a difference of 25% to 75% in between PTI and MQM.

Two Important points to note:

1 – MQM had to put PTI votes in trash as if they did not do it , MQM additional fake votes would sum up to more than total registered votes , meaning a turnout of 150%-175% , so in order to keep it under 100% , they need to not only increase MQM votes but to also decrease PTI votes , not to mention that there was no one from PTI side as polling agent at the time of counting and no police/rangers were present inside.

2 – MQM workers casted fake votes almost 3 times of PTI votes , since it was taking a bit longer time as polling staff has to write something on ballot paper for showing it as a legal ballot paper and put a thump impression on it as well , so when local MQM workers were inquired by central election office of MQM about the results , in panic they asked polling staff to stop putting stamps and JUST WRITE A WHOLE FIGURE depicting MQM win , staff asked how many votes and MQM dumb JAHIL workers told them just write 1 lac 50 thousand , 1 lac 90 thousand , 1 lac 40 thousand whatever.

Here I want to write the exact words of MQM worker who came out from inside polling station towards his fellows who were standing outside and he said , “ yar they all took voting cards from US but they ALL voted for BAT , BC “ and they all freaked out 😀

We all locality people could now see the rigging happening inside polling stations , we saw rangers and police sharing dirty jokes , having tea outside polling stations during counting ( who were supposed to protect our votes ) , even policeman knew whats going on , Rangers knew whats going on inside but they did not want to take up fight with MQM , how could we unarmed people do anything after such reaction of security forces.

We, We the people of Karachi Won the battle on 11th May against fascism and tyranny but we were made to lose by COWARD security forces , Ineffective Election commission and BIASED judiciary.

On election day it people of Karachi were fighting against not only MQM but also against coward security forces , election commission and judiciary , As I told , We won the battle against MQM , but we lost against election commission/forces/judiciary.

We karachiites proved that we love you Imran Khan , We are with you , We are with PTI , we are not power hungry people , we do not vote for ethnic , caste , sectarian basis . We didn’t even know the names of your candidate , but we came out to vote for you , you told us from Hospital bed that “ALLAH ne aaj tak us qaum ki halat nahi badly jisne aapni halat khud badalne ka na socha ho” ,

Imran ! We tried our best to switch our fate , and we almost won but you know how well one perform , they cannot win if umpires are with opposite team.

Later when the results announced , PTI candidates scored almost 50-60 thousand in each constituency , now keeping in mind they MQM put 2/3rd of PTI votes to trash , even if I keep lowest possible number , it was 1 lac 25 thousand vote for PTI in almost all constituencies of Karachi against 20-25 thousand of MQM.

But if I want to go with what turnout I saw on election day and people’s passion , it was like 1 lac 50 thousand+ votes for PTI in every area of Karachi.

PTI clearly WON in Karachi and MQM / Altaf Hussain knows this fact , this is the reason that Altaf hussain has been so mad on all his party , MQM is literally finished in Karachi , they are trying to resurrect their party by overhauling it but I’m sure its an irreversible process , if any point of time ECP manages to conduct free and fare elections in Karachi , it will be ONLY PTI all over the place. MQM is finished .

Conclusion:

But anyway , somewhat we karachiites were aware that MQM would do rigging and they will win ( just like what happened) but just to fulfil our promise with Imran Khan we came out and vote for him. We were more confident about Punjab but again it was a different type of rigging that took place in Punjab , that was surely well engineered by Najam Sethi with the help of International Powers like USA/UK/KSA.

2013 Elections was WON by PTI

Top 10 Mistakes of PTI

November 10, 2012

A Salam o Alykum ,

As most of the members here on this forums ( OR on such forums ) are actually Pakistanis living abroad , and mostly these are also the guys who are writing threads and discussing , sharing opinions which is the main reason that sometimes we do not see the REAL PICTURE or GROUND REALITIES ( of what has been going on actually in our country Pakistan ).

Since i also used to live abroad so i can definitely feel how pakistanis like us feel and how we react when we only watch TV shows .

Friends , usually its not 100% reality and due to this we are misled .

I strongly feel that the users and people are not fully aware of what has been actual political reality at the moment in Pakistan…

Let me share few of my observations quickly here :

( feel free to curse me if you do not like my observations 🙂 , m a PTI worker btw )

PTI Mistakes that can thrash this “Justice Movement / Tehreek-e-Insaf”

1 – Mistimed Intra-Party Elections ( its almost too late )

2 – Imran Khan giving less attention to Party Internal Matters ( most of the time he is travelling abroad , fund raising , WEF , visiting PTI UK / Canada / Houston / Florida , i mean come on IK , these foreign chapters of your party have absolutely no impact on electioneering in Pakistan , these are just your fan club , they just want to take pic with you , when you should be with your people in Pakistan , you are continuously traveling abroad , Leave these visits for SMQ , JH , AA etc and visit your party offices in rahimyar khan , sheikhupura , sialkot , bhakkar , nawabshah , chaman , Bannu , mardan and interact with local people )

3 – Imran Khan’s less interaction with Party Leaders (like Iftikhar Gillani/Sheeren Mazari who eventually resigned , Leghari brethern , Mian Azhar, Qusoori , Parvez Khattak etc )

4 – No weekly or Monthly Training for PTI Workers by Party Elders ( Party workers have no idea about the “Nazariya” , loyalty towards Leader , Discipline etc , You can even see here on Siasat.pk that if workers do not like anything from IK they quickly respond by saying OK we will leave , we do not want this party anymore or blabla , they have absolutely no trust and loyalty towards their leader , they should TRUST IK that whatever he is doing is good for PTI and they should give him time to practice his way , I’m not asking for blind following but atleast trust your leader , every Party has weekly/monthly/Quarterly Schedule for its party workers , specially like Jamat e Islami and MQM but in PTI there is nothing like it )

5 – Pathetic Media Management ( extremely poor media team who cannot even counter anchors or few columns writers )

6 – In Urban Sindh , PTI has NO chance at all against MQM ( you will not get a single seat , mark my words )

7 – In Interior Sindh , PPP will sustain , though PML-N is trying hard through Marvi Memon and she is making very good progress by making alliances and adding new faces to party ) , again may be just PA seat for PTI in current scenario .

8 – In Punjab , PML-N has put the Turbo gear ON and they are making some really good progress , we must appreciate their good acts the like attracting youth by laptop OR sports festivals , their performance for dengue prevention , their media management is outstanding and now they are quickly taking wickets of Imran Khan Team. if elections are held today in Punjab PML-N will definitely not only win it but will sweep the elections due to the alliances and clear policies , PTI has been very bad as far as their alliances story is concerned , their workers are continuously making fun of Sheikh Rasheed and Jamat-e-Islami and i do not think so that these two would be very happy of their previous decisions . PTI will only get 20-25 seats max. in current situation .

9 – No presence in Balochistan at all , not a single seat

10 – In KPK , Due to rude Asaq Qaiser leadership PTI likely to suffer a huge set back as lots of their allies and party workers are joining other parties , No alliance with Jamat e Islami which will eventually cut each other votes in KPK. May be 10 NA seats max.

So in short ,

Things are really bad , worst since 30th Oct 2011 ….

Since last 3-4 years PTI graph was going upward , Now its been at halt position if not going down …

PTI needs to give urgent attention to all these issues .
PTI approach has been too bookish , needs to refine it with reality ……

Remember these elections are NOW OR NEVER for PTI …..

This is the Time …. do not ruin it……..

کیا سید ذات دوسری ذاتوں سے افضل ہے ؟

April 29, 2012

A Salam o Alykum

کیا سید ذات دوسری ذاتوں سے افضل ہے ؟

Is Syed Superior to other Castes in Islam ?

No , Not at all …

Islam abolished the discrimination among human beings on the basis of race , ethnicity , language and caste….

There is no concept of good or bad caste in islam….

Syeds have been termed as “descendants of Prophet Muhammad saw ” thats why muslims actually respect them but this respect does not mean that Muslims think them as a superior caste among other muslims…

………………………………………….. ………………………………………….. …………..

1 – Very first point about syeds is that Not all the syeds are true syeds  ….

………………………………………….. ………………………………………….. …………..

Decedents of Prophet saw never used “SYED” or “SHAH” with their names …

You will never read anywhere that Hazrat Ali or Hussain or Hasan or Muhammad Hanfia used SYED title with deliberation ….

Syed is actually a title , meaning LEADER , and in arabic we may have similar words for it like Ameer ….

It is actually “other non-decedents” who can call you as syeds but you cannot adopt it as a name which most of the fake syeds did afterwards

If you read neutral history books written by European writers than you would know how Indian and Persian people adopted this title and used forged “shijra”
to represent themselves among notable original syeds

There were two major reasons for this adoption of title :

1 – Often Mughal Emperors due to their religious respect , used to give big lands to people who have lineage association with prophet saw . Specially in the Era of Humayun , when he was helped by Persian King Shah Tahmasp I to win india again from his rival brothers …. Humayun assigned big chunks of lands to notable persians in India … at that time many persian used fake sir names of SYEDS and SHAH  and forged their “shijra” to become descendants of prophet to grab land in india. They migrated in huge numbers to northern and south india to establish their “rajdehani” .

2 – Most of the time when Hindu upper class(barahmin) converts to islam , they use to adopt “Syed” or “Shaikh” title , just to make sure that they have similar status in Islam what they had in Hinduism … So its a famous saying from newly converted hindu farmer that ” is saal fasal achi hogi to sheikh bnuga aur agle saal tak syed” 🙂

by the way if you also do mathematics , it is absolutely impossible that current population of syed came out of Hazrat Ali decedents only….
You need to have at least 100 more such families ( like hazrat ali family ) to get to the population of syed today , so actually among every 5 syed only 2 are genuine and rest are fake

For reference : you can read books from E. D. Maclegan & H.A.Roz etc

Funny thing is that even today is you see most of these syeds , they are more closer to persian looks rather than arabic looks , also they like to follow persian style rather than arab style …. and the third and very important thing is that most of these syeds have extreme hatred towards Arabs and affinity towards persian which clearly shows that they themselves cannot be original syeds which were actually arabs

And the most hilarious thing which most of my arab fellow mention is that there are thousands of more syeds in India and Pakistan as compare to Arab World ,

If you combine all syeds from Arab World including Iraq , you would have less syeds as compare to Indian and Pakistani Syeds

and the most amazing thing is that in Arab World almost 99% of decedents of prophet saw family DO NOT USE syed title , either they use hashmi , Hassani , husseni or qureshi surnames

Let me give you interesting figure , According to a research ( http://www.joshuaproject.net/people-profile.php ) …

There are more than 15 Million Syeds in South Asia  ( we are not including syeds of Iraq , Iran , Lebonan , Yemen , Najd , Jordan , North Africa , FarEast etc)

Whereas there are only 8 Million “Total Hijazi Arabs” in Saudi Arab

Note : Syeds are supposed to be decedents of one hijazi arab family

Map of Hijazi Arab

Now , Just think … the total population of Hijazi Arab who used to live in cities like Mecca , Medina , Taif , Jeddah , Yanbu , Tabuk , Badar Hunain is almost half of the population of South Asian Syeds ( who are supposed to be decedents of ONE Hijazi Family )

So , all Hijazi Families can only produce 8 million people , whereas one hijazi family produced double of rest of the thousands of families…

Ok i do believe that may be ALLAH swt put “barakat” in Syeds …but this barkat cannot be so huge that it exceeds the population of whole area by almost double

So clearly most of these syeds , specially in India , Pakistan , Nepal , Sri Lanka , most of them are Fake Syeds.

………………………………………….. ……………………………..

2nd Point about : Do Syeds are superior to other muslims ?

………………………………………….. ………………………………

In Islam , Your lineage cannot bring anything special to you , it all depends upon your personal deeds…

Consider an example of Prophet saw uncle “Abd Uzza / Abu-Lahab” ,

he was a true hashmiite blood , in urdu ” sagey chacha” of prophet saw….

but he was among the TOP 3 enemies of Islam , in fact Quran talks about him and his wife in Surah Lahab saying that they both were evil doers .

So there is no such thing in islam like “BLOOD RELATIONSHIP”

This Blood relationship counts in an environment where there is a concept of hereditary rule

like in a blood relationship based society : if anyone wants to be a king or ruler or religious leader , he has to show his affiliation to ruling elite with his blood lineage.

If he does not belong to “Royal Family” he cannot be considered for kingdom or religious rule…

So you would see that this concept was very popular among “Persian” and “Indian” culture.

Persian used to have “Shah-zada” and “Shah-zadi” concept that he is the son of King and she is the daughter of king and they all have BORN RIGHT to rule people .

Similarly in India , There was a culture of Raja , Rani and Royal family , no one else can have throne other than Royal Family….

Islam actually abolished this system and Prophet saw introduced the concept of Equality among Human Beings that no human being is superior to other human being either based on race , ethnicity , caste or family ….

There is no such thing in “Mainstream Islam” that Religious or Social Government is only a right of Prophet decedents .
Almost 80% of all muslims all over the world believe that there is no such concept of hereditary rule in Islam …

But certainly , we are asked to respect prophet saw family , not because they are superior but just because of their association with prophet saw and this respect is only subjected to their pious acts , if they do not follow islam than they are not entitled for this respect.

………………………………………….. ……………………………..

3rd Point about : What about Durood in which Muslim send prayers to Aal-e-Muhammad ? Isn’t it show that Aal-e-Muhammad is superior to Other Muslims ???

………………………………………….. ………………………………

In Durood Shareef , Aal-e-Muhammad saw refer to all Pious Muslims irrespective of their race , gender , ethncity and color .

Aal-e-Muhammad also include ahl-e-bait (prophet’s family) but that does not mean that Aal-e-Muhammad saw is only referring to Syeds or Ahl-e-bait.

Please watch video for comprehensive answer

………………………………………….. ……………………………..

4th Point about : Why Zakat / Sadqa is not allowed for Syeds ? Zakat / Sadqa is like a Dirt of your money so its prohibition on Syeds means that Syeds are superior , isn’t it ??

………………………………………….. ………………………………

Yes , this is right that Zakat and Sadqat which are considered as dirt of money or filth of money cannot be given to Syeds , but it definitely does not mean that Syeds are superior , By offering zakat and sadqat it actually feels like that we are giving dirty money to prophet saw which no muslim can even think of so this is the reason muslims are not allowed to do this disgrace to prophet saw . its not because of caste or anything , its actually sheer love and respect for prophet saw that muslims cannot give zakat and khairat to Prophet saw or prophet saw family.

but they can be offered hadya , tohfa , gift etc.

………………………………………….. ……………………………..

5th Point about : Is a marriage between syed girl and non-syed boy allowed ?

………………………………………….. ………………………………

Well , Yes absolutely , There is no such restriction from Islam in marriage of Syed girl with Non-Syed boy .
All Islamic Fiqh including Fiqh Jafariyya is agreed that a non syed boy can marry to a syed girl without any problem…

we have dozens of such examples from early islamic era when Syed girls ( hashmites ) were married to non-hashmites and vice versa

………………………………………….. ……………………………..

6th Point about :

………………………………………….. ………………………………

Above mentioned two statements are two different things and its nothing but playing with words in a clever manner :

Muslims are not proud of being part of Muslim “Ethnic/Racial Nation”.

Muslims are proud of being part of Muslim “Religious Nation” .

In first sentence of ”

کیا رِسالتمآب

کی اُمت ہونا باعث فخر و اِمتیاز ہے؟ “

We are not talking about ethnic or linguistic or family based association due to which we feel proudness , we are talking about religious affiliation with Islam
If here we mean ethnic association or proudness than it would mean that we are actually proud of being Arab rather than muslim …

So this proudness and association with Prophet saw is not because of ethnic / caste / family / linguistic basis but totally on the basis on “Religious Association”

Now in 2nd sentence ”

اگر جواب ہاں ہے تو مُحمد

کا نواسہ اور علی و بتول کی اولاد ہونا باعثِ افتخار کیوں نہیں؟ “

Here the respected author is talking about Family based association or you can say it tribal or racial association or proudness that my father was this much respected so i should also be respected.

This is totally against basic islamic teaching of equality .

At Hajja-tul-Vida , Prophet saw explicitly talked about “Racial , Ethnic or Linguistic Proudness ” when he declared that No Arabi is better than other Ajami and vice versa …

It is as clear as like Sun in a clear morning that Quran states that only thing which is the matter of “Pride” or “Superiority” for you is your “Taqwa” and NOTHING ELSE…

You can not feel pride or superiority just because you belong to a particular Ethnic Community or Caste or Linguistic community or tribe or race.

All human Beings are Equal.

A black man is equal to White Man or Brown Man
An Indian is equal to arabic , or persian or american
A Jatt is equal to Awan or Syed or Shaikh
A yusufzai is equal to atmanzai or bangash

So , we should refrain from “manipulating” words just to reinforce our arguments , In Islam there is absolutely No Racism at all.

and by putting these sort of arguments that we should feel pride or superior because of family association of prophet is nothing but maligning Islam for your own mean motives,

………………………………………….. ………………………………………….. …………..

7 – One of the respected member posted few hadiths related to “Fazail of Hazrat Ali , Hassan , Hussain , Fatima Razi ullah tala anhuma …… arguing that since all such pious personalities had those fazails and they were better and superior than contemporary people so similarly present day syeds are also superior to other muslims ……..

………………………………………….. ………………………………………….. …………..

Again a very basic mistake in understanding ….

All of these respected people like Hazrat Ali , Hassan Hussain , fatima ra were NOT superior to other muslims just because of their family relationship with Prophet saw , It was due to the fact that they were truly more muttaqi and perhezgar ( pious ) than other muslims of all the time , This is why they were given the status of leader of Women in Jannah or Leader of Youth in Jannah…

It had nothing to do with their family association….

It is the biggest blasphemy which some of my ignorant friends are doing is to undermine the religious efforts of such pious personalities and associating their status with ONLY family association….

we all know that Prophet saw had many daughters , around 4 , but Only Fatima ra was choosen as leader of women in Jannah , Why … if family was the deciding factor than there should be 4 leaders of Women in Jannah , Why only Fatima … and the reason is simple …. Fatima RA was far better than any other women in religious practices and Taqwa thats why ALLAH swr granted her that status.

Similarly , Prophet saw had many other cousins as well , many other relatives like Abbas , Aqeel and their children , but why Hazrat Ali had a different status …. reason is very simple that Hazrat Ali was much more far ahead than those other family members , So for Hazrat Ali Status , family association was not a reason but his taqwa was main reason..

Similarly , Prophet saw had other grand children as well but only Hassan Hussain was choosen , Reason is again …simply due to their religious efforts …. else we may have seen similar status for other grand children as well.

So in my opinion , all the status and Fazail of Hazrat Ali , fatima , Hassan and Hussain is because of their Religious Piousness and Taqwa , by saying that it was due to the fact that they were prophet saw relatives thats why they were superior is just insane …

In urdu we have a word of “Aqraba-Parwari” , so actually by having this argument that these personalities were superior among the other muslim personalities due to their relationship with prophet saw is actually like putting a charge of “Aqraba-perwari” on muhammad saw that he distributed all the Jannati positions among his own family members (naozobillah)

………..

2nd argument related to this point is that all such fazail and status are linked to those personalities only and these are NON-TRANSFERABLE fazails

for example if hazrat hassan and hussain ra were very pious , imam / leaders of muslims , leaders of youth in jannah but this does not mean that this fazail has been transferred to all the decedents .

A present day syed is not comparable to hazrat hussain ra at all.

how can he have same superiority which hazrat hussain have on other muslims ??

how can a present day syeda has same superiority which hazrat Fatima has on all women ??

No sir Not at all ,

Those syeds ( Hazrat Ali , Fatima , Hassan Hussain ra ) EARNED that respect and status by their religious acts and taqwa , it was not due to PRINCE AND PRINCESS thing.

by saying that their superiority was linked to their family association is actually taking away the honor of their efforts .

Hazrat Ali , fatima , Hasan and hussain sacrificed their whole lives to earn that stature ,…. and those naik fazails are restricted to themselves….

Can any present day syed become a youth leader of Jannah ? NO
Can he even enter jannah without any “hisab/kitab” ? NO

which means he is not superior to any other muslim , not at all…

Please do not confuse fazail of ahl-e-bait with Superiority of present day syeds to all mankind

……………………….

Conclusion :

……………………….

I think some of my friends who are arguing that syeds are “superior mankind” as compare to other human beings ,

they are actually confusing “Respect” Vs “Superiority

Yes , we Muslims respect syeds but it does not mean that syeds are superior , neither because of this respect syeds are entitled for any forced special treatment ,

A syed has to pray 5 times a day just like any other non-syed
A syed has to fast just like any other non-syed
A syed has to perform all the acts in Hajj which a non-syed is supposed to perform
A syed has no special place in mosque , the one who comes first should have a right to be in first row
A syed has no special status during Jihad that he should be placed in last as he is most sacred mankind and we must save him
A syed has no guarantee from ALLAH swt that he will enter Jannah just because of his family lineage .
A syed girl is not bound by any religious command to marry only syed guy

Let me give you a worldly example so that you understand the different between respect and superiority.

Javed Miandad was a very famous hard working player of cricket in Pakistan , People in Pakistan calls him a legend , They love him , respect him , care for him like crazy …

What if now Javed Miandad son comes to ground in an international match with intent to play , and suppose he knows nothing about cricket

Well , as a token of respect , authorities will definitely allow him to enter in Stadium , they will allow him to sit in luxury box  , they will also entertain him with drink and snacks …

But will he able to “supersede” any cricket player of team to make his place ????

Will Authorities would allow him to do so ???

Will it be Ethical cricket ??

Will it be “just” (insaf) for the other cricket players ??

NO …. No sir not at all….

He will get the respect because of his “family association” with Javed Miandad

BUT

he will not be able to secure a place in team because he is NOT SUPERIOR to other cricketers , to be in cricket team , he has to learn cricket like his father , he has to prove himself a better player only than he can bypass other players , only than he can become “superior” to other players , otherwise ….. he will not be able to play cricket …. his family association with miandad cannot make a good player , cannot guarantee him a place in cricket team

Yes , he may get respect , but not superiority among other players .

Regards.

Isn’t it a right time for PTI to start ACTION PLAY ?

April 28, 2012

A Salam o Alykum

1 – PTI Should start a mass movement , a movement eyeing Elections 2013.

Things have been changing at a very rapid pace and i personally feel that its a right time for PTI to start a a full swing Action Play.

PML-N is gearing up to start its anti-government campaign and Imran Khan should not be repeating his “Cheif Justice Long March” mistake.
That was one of the big political mistake of PTI to trust in PML-N , Imran Khan and company was hiding in Islamabad , waiting for Long March and Mian Sahab hijacked the movement/long march and he went back from Gujranwala as a victorious Hero.

Shaikh Rasheed , a seasoned politician also trying his best to convey Imran Khan this message that “Its Now or Never” for him.

2 – PTI Should start forming Electoral Alliances

I think its the best time for PTI to start making electoral alliances , They should not wait for last minute to do this activity , If PTI will not do it than PML-N will take all these small pressure groups under their umbrella and they will lead this new movement for election in 2013.

Also , PTI members should trust their party leadership for these alliances , they should not have very rigid position that ” we will not allow PTI to ally with jamat-e-Islami or Difa-e-Pakistan Council or Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen or Sindhi nationalist or Baloch Nationalist or Achakzai etc

I think PTI can make possible alliances with following groups :

1 – With Jamat-e-Islami
2 – They should ask PONAM to revive themselves , PONAM had Sindhi/Baloch/Pashtun/Saraiki Nationalists in them
3 – Alliance with PKMAP in Pashtun Balochistan
4 – Alliance with Hazara in Quetta
5 – They should alliance with Shiite Political Organizations ( already in alliance with Wahdat-Muslimeen )
6 – Alliance with Difa-e-Pakistan Council Parties like JUI-S , Ahl-e-Hadith forces etc
7 – Alliance with Sheikh Rasheed
8 – You would think it as insane , but they should start negotiations with PML-Q & old Peoples Party Patriot
9 – Alliance with NPP and Peer pagaro in Sindh

Make a huge National Alliance against all ruling Elite like PPP , ANP , JUI-F and PML-N

Lead that Alliance …. Let Imran Khan be the Leader of all this alliance ….

This alliance would be something like old APDM , but this time PTI should lead it and Imran Khan should be the Leader…..

and very importantly , This is the RIGHT TIME to make this alliance …. Just forget about solo-flight…. think about cooperation with everyone…..

Lets just start making this alliance , complete it during these two months and start the movement after next 2 months.

3 – PTI Strict policy about new intakes & Attitude of PTI members towards them

PTI should also soften its policy to accept new additions , Marvi Memon/Ameer Muqam/Anwar Baig/Fawad Chauhdari are examples of PTI CEC mishandling .

Sometime i feel that PTI is now being threatened by its political workers who does not want to trust their own Leader Imran Khan against their own will and opinion.

They rejected their Leader opinion on Ameer Muqam/M.M/ and on fawad Chaudari case… for some people may be its very “democratic” but for me its like NOT TRUSTING your own leader , what PTI members are doing is to harden the victory path for Imran Khan , They are in danger of losing their positions and importance due to inclusion of new additions and thats why they are trying their best to oppose them.

Its not good to involve religion examples in our dirty politics :

But just to make PTI members understand the situation .

Just think about the “Fatah-e-Makkah”

1 – Muhammad saw , not only forgive all the biggest enemies of Islam , but also accepted them in Islam with open arms , Also he gave them respect by giving them higher ranks , consider an example of Abu-Sufyan and his family , they were the biggest enemies of Islam , but after makkah conquest , prophet saw declared house of abu-sufyan as a refuge place for all the mekkans , actually giving Abu-Sufyan same respect which he had during Jahilliya .

2 – Hazrat Usman Ghani RA , not only forgive the biggest enemies from Banu Umayya , but also awarded them key positions in different provinces like Basra , Syria , Egypt , Kufa etc.

Now , Just consider if PTI members were present there at that time of islamic history, what would be their attitude ???

Trust me they would be arguing with Prophet saw about “new inclusions” that they have not sacrificed that much as we did , so either you should not accept them or if you want to accept them than at least do not give them same respect and authority as they used to enjoy during Jahilliya.

PTI members should understand the importance of “Trust in Leader“.

I used ti be a follower of MQM , they may have big problems but there are also few things which PTI should learn from them.

In MQM , there is a very strict policy as far as respect and importance for “Leader – Altaf Hussain” is concerned.

Some may says that its actually “facist” , well upto some extent yes ….. but sometime its very necessary to blindly trust in your leadership , because he has different sort of vision as compare to ordinary members , and this is the reason why he became that Leader ,so once you make someone as Leader , you must also obey his each and every order ( at least for some time if not for whole life ).

A recent example from MQM is re-inclusion of MQM-Haqeeqi members , It was Altaf Hussain who made this decision and all MQM workers were bound to obey him without any “choo-charan”

PTI members should stop thinking themselves as higher visionary person than Imran Khan himself .

yes they may give him suggestions , but once he make any decision they should follow it with open heart.

They should stop this threatening attitude that either you follow our suggestions or we will leave you.

We all should strengthen Imran Khan as a powerfull leader and should trust him , his vision , his loyalty to Pakistan and us …. we MUST TRUST HIM

PTI Sindh : Structure , Performance & Suggestions

April 5, 2012

A Salam o Alykum

We all Know that PTI is very strong in KPK and Punjab , but i have serious doubts about PTI Sindh , their organization structure , efficiency of network and performance.Let me start with few facts and figures about importance of Sindh in Elections :National Assembly Seats from Sindh :

Total Seats = 60

Share in Assembly = 60 out of 272 general national assembly seats , means 22%

Starting from NA-198 Sukkur to NA-258 Karachi

Provincial Assembly Seats from Sindh :

Total Seats = 130

Senate Seats from Sindh :

Minimum Seats = 23

Major Political parties :

PPP ( usually get 50% of all seats from Sindh , Sweeps Interior Sindh )
MQM ( usually get 30-35% of all seats from Sindh , Sweeps Urban Sindh )
PML ( usually get 15-20% of all seats from Sindh )

NOTE : In Sindh , basically there is no ideological vote bank of PML (N/Q/F/L) , and people who gets PML ticket are those who have tribal or family rivalry with PPP candidates , so they frequently change their affiliation “within” PML as per need of time.

Voting Trend in Sindh :

We need to divide Sindh in two parts as far as voting trend is concerned.

a) Interior Sindh
b) Urban Sindh

In Interior Sindh , People are mostly illiterate , backward , bound by family hereditary politics , tribal politics , under the influence of Landlords , Feudals , Religious Gaddi Nasheen like Makhdooms , Peer Pagara and above all there is strange ideology , ideology of Bhutto-ism . Usually PPP exploits the Bhutto ideological factor , most of the poor sindhis just want to give their vote in the name of Bhutto , for them Bhutto is just like Nelson Mandela for South Africans and Gandhi for Indians. PPP always plays this “Bhutto Card” in elections and gets good success out of it. But usually people do not think about to whom they will be casting their vote neither they take care of manifesto or any other thing , their voting culture is subjugated under the influence of feudals and its no way that we can compare it with KPK culture which has the most “open political” culture in whole pakistan.

In Urban Sindh , Most of the registered voters are educated but as they belong to Urdu Speaking ( a pakistani community which predominantly presents only in Urban Sindh as compare to other parts of Pakistan ) , so there is trend of Ethnic based politics in this part of Sindh. Before 1980s , Urban Sindh had almost the same political culture of KPK , usually religious forces like Jamat-e-Islami and Jamiat Ulama Pakistan used to win election from urdu speaking majority areas but since after MQM came into being in 1980s , Urban Sindh have almost only one voting trend i.e; Ethnic based politics . MQM clean sweeps all across urban sindh due to this “Muhajir Slogan”.

Now lets focus on our actual topic , which is PTI expectation and performance in Sindh .

PTI Expectation & Strategy in Sindh :

Currently PTI is only relying on Shah Mehmood Qureshi as far politics in Sindh is concerned . Also their main focus is Interior Sindh.
For urban sindh they think its almost impossible to shatter the ethnic vote bank of MQM so they are not wasting their energy in Urban Sindh , yes they are trying hard in some pockets of urban areas where there is good population of Punjabi & Pakhtoons but these pockets may only worth 2-3 Provincial assembly and 1 national assembly seat.

Their former president of sindh , Naeem-ul-Haq made no progress what so ever in interior or urban sindh. The only wing which was vibrant in Sindh was PTI women wing having 40-50 active women workers , other than that it was a complete shame for PTI . PTI sindh haven’t manage to include any BIG NAME after 30 Oct Tsunami in Lahore . Though it was a golden chance for PTI to get support of PML candidates and workers, PML was almost dissolved in Sindh and all PML candidates were looking for some other party to join . They had very limited options ; for example they could not join PPP due to extreme rivalry , PPP voters thinks PML people as murderer of Bhutto , similarly they could not join MQM as Sindhi people think it betrayal for Sindhi Nationalism and Ethnic politics . Now that was the golden chance for PTI to start negotiations with these PML candidates and ask them to join PTI , but PTI Sindh was so slow and ignorant that those PML candidates waited for almost 6 months and now they are joining PML-N one by one ( e.g; Liaquat Jataoi , Hum-Khayal Group etc )

PTI has appointed a new president for Sindh , Mr. Nadir Akmal Khan Leghari ( from Ghotki , Ex- Minister in Musharraf Era from PML-Q ) , but i seriously doubt his capabilities to run party matters like a leader in Sindh. PTI Women Wing leader Ms. Fauzia Qasoori has already dissolved the only active wing of PTI in Sindh , that was Women Wing and currently Ms. Fauzia Qasoori has playing a dictatorial role in WW of Sindh , handling all matters from Center.

Currently there is no proper organization structure of PTI in Sindh , neither through nominations or through elections.

Basically , PTI does not have any good office bearers in Sindh including Karachi.

They severely lack good political workers and leaders in Karachi , Hyderabad , Mirpurkhas , Sukkur , Nawabshah etc.

In short , there is no presence of PTI in interior sindh at the moment , NO activities like KPK or Punjab.

What PTI should do in Sindh ?

In my opinion :

  1. Start approaching all PML factions including PML-Q/L/F and ask their candidates to join PTI (e.g; Sheerazi of Thatta , Arbab of Thar etc )
  2. Approach Peer Faqeer , Sajjada Nasheen in Interior Sindh ( e.g; like Peer Pagaro to get strength )
  3. Contact Tribals of sindh like Magsi who have around 10 members in assemblies from same family
  4. Contact Sindhi Nationalists
  5. Also approach PPP candidates : Remember there are lots of PPP candidates and workers in Sindh who hates Asif Ali Zardari and wants to shift to another political party other than PML-N and MQM ; for them PTI is ideal party to join . People like Yusuf Talpur , Ghulam Mustafa Jataoi can be easy targets .
  6. Target Punjabi , Hazara and Pakhtoon population of Urban Sindh , Currently they are with ANP and JUI-F so after their current performance these punjabi pakhtoons will definitely be inclined towards PTI , also MQM would be very happy to give PTI this space in karachi city to weaken ANP & PPI.
  7. Nominate their office bearers in all constituencies of Sindh Provincial Assembly ( 130 )
  8. Organize at least one big National level jalsa in Sindh in each Quarter
  9. Organize at least one big Provincial level jalsa in Sindh in each Month
  10. Organize bi-weekly meetings in each constituency for discussing goals and objective
Remember PTI Sindh should think all these activities as part of electioneering and should start work on ASAP basis. Conclusion :

Currently , I do not think so that PTI can even win 5 provincial assembly and 2 national assembly seat from Sindh.
They need to start work on war basis. They do not have candidates who can participate in elections , neither they have any political structure in Sindh.
Extremely poor performance from PTI Sindh since last decade . Imran Khan and Dr. Arif Alvi should focus on Sindh apart from Shah Mehmood Qureshi . These leaders should take personal interest in strengthening PTI in sindh.PTI should not just ignore Sindh. Again , Sindh constitutes almost 25% of National Assembly Seats plus 25% seats of Senate as well.
Also PTI cannot afford to have opposition led hostile government in any province .

In KPK , we believe that PTI can get a easy victory .
In Punjab , we think that inshALLAH we will have a miraculous win
In Balochistan , we think that we can always “buy” the winning candidates , which is rightly so

But in Sindh , at this moment , it is almost confirm that it will be same government with less PPP share , means MQM , PPP and some PML-F/L would be in power .
I do not see any major break through from PML-N/Q/F in Sindh . So there will be ” no change ” in Sindh which can be a nightmare for PTI , just think about a situation where PPP has 41 members in Senate and a coalition government with MQM in Sindh . So PTI cannot go after corrupt people of PPP and militant gangsters of MQM due to their black mailing of stopping business/commercial and social life in Sindh.

So , PTI should focus on Sindh as well , they should get at least 15-20 provincial seats in Sindh at least to make a good opposition in Sindh.

Thanks.
